Rainbow Bridge

Just shy of his 12th birthday, Saffron sadly made the journey over the Rainbow Bridge. With a heavy heart his humans made the decision and helped him across this morning. Hopefully this sweet old man finds peace on the other side of the bridge as he watches over his heartbroken family.

Cancer is such a horrible disease for both animal and human alike. I just hope one day we will find some means of a cure and comfort for all of those affected...

Please pass along our best wishes and comfort -

We'll light a candle tonight

As you know - and we've shared in the past - they gave him the biggest gift of love we can give our furry ones -

I'm sure Ziggy greeted Saffron with special care because Saffron probably brought some wishes from 'here' from 'you' -

My thoughts are with you as you say goodbye to your wonderful furry-baby Saffron. Not so long ago I lost my Siberian Aspen and know how quiet your house is and how lonely your heart is once they cross over the Rainbow Bridge. Only time will heal your heart and find comfort knowing that they are now running free on "the other side"...

Your gift to Saffron is one of the most difficult ones we can make, but it is possibly the ultimate act of love...but unfortunately the most painful one!
My hearts go to you as you begin a new era...I am really so sorry for your loss!

We just came offur from Khyra's blog to tell you that we are very sorry for the loss of your beloved, Saffron. We know how you feel, as our beloved sisfur, Scooter, was helped to The Bridge on 4-1-09, due to cancer. May the be a cure soon.
He will be waiting for the day when you meet again.

Please share our soft woos of comfort and prayerful whispers of "safe journey, Saffron" to his family. Their decision was brave and noble and the hardest act of love we ever have to make. May they find solice in knowing that Saffron is painfree and forever young on the other side of the Bridge and is waiting to greet them with licks of joy when they arrive.

I am a friend of Khyra, and I came to tell you how sorry I am for this sadness in your heart. I know it was very hard to let Saffron go, and I know how much your heart is breaking.
You did the kindest gift in the world for a doggy who did not feel good anymore.
Cancer is such a bad thing,,, I am so sorry.
I light a candle tonight,
